Walmart Code 12: Price difference between invoice and quote or price list.
Walmart Code 12 means Walmart deducted the difference between your invoiced unit price and a specific buyer quote or promotional price list on file. It is disputable if the quote applied to a different timeframe, item, or order volume.
Why Walmart issues Code 12.
- A temporary promotional quote was applied to a standard replenishment PO
- Item master pricing in Retail Link was not reverted after a temporary price reduction
- Buyer entered a quote that conflicted with the formal EDI 850 PO price
- Pack-size or inner-pack conversion discrepancy
Documents that win.
- Purchase order and supplier invoice
- Signed quote sheet or promotional pricing agreement showing valid dates
- Buyer email or Retail Link item cost history proving the quote expired
