Target Code A070: Duplicate invoice / duplicate billing deduction.
Target Code A070 is issued when Target's AP system or post-audit team identifies what appears to be a duplicate invoice payment for the same PO and shipment. It is disputable when you have two distinct PODs/BOLs proving two separate shipments were delivered.
Why Target issues Code A070.
- EDI 810 invoice was transmitted twice
- Two partial shipments against the same PO had identical dollar values and unit counts
- Corrected invoice was submitted without referencing a prior deduction
Documents that win.
- Both invoices and their corresponding remittance advices
