Walmart Code 93: Merchandise return / recall deduction.
Walmart Code 93 is issued when merchandise is returned from stores or distribution centers (due to overstock, modular resets, or recalls) and deducted from your remittance. It is disputable if you have a no-return agreement, if the quantity deducted exceeds what was physically returned to your warehouse, or if the return price was calculated at retail rather than wholesale cost.
Why Walmart issues Code 93.
- Modular reset or deleted item inventory returned through a Return Center
- Return Center billed back more units than were actually shipped back on the return BOL
- Return deduction included handling fees not authorized in the Vendor Agreement
Documents that win.
- Return Center claim report and return BOL/tracking from Retail Link
- Receiving tally from your own warehouse showing actual units received back
- Signed Walmart Vendor Agreement showing return privileges and agreed cost basis
