Walmart Code 51: Warehouse allowance deduction.
Walmart Code 51 means Walmart deducted a warehouse/distribution allowance from your invoice payment. It is disputable when you already deducted the allowance off-invoice (resulting in a double deduction) or when the order was a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) shipment ineligible for a warehouse allowance.
Why Walmart issues Code 51.
- Supplier deducted the warehouse allowance off-invoice on the EDI 810, and Walmart deducted it a second time at payment
- A Direct Store Delivery (DSD) or drop-ship order was charged a DC warehouse allowance in error
- Allowance percentage deducted exceeded the rate in the signed Vendor Agreement
Documents that win.
- Invoice showing the warehouse allowance was already deducted off-invoice
- Signed Walmart Vendor Agreement showing exact warehouse allowance terms
- POD/PO proving the shipment was delivered Direct-to-Store (DSD) rather than through a Walmart DC
